Residents have been told not to put their waste and recycling out on Christmas Day as the festive collection timetable begins.

If your usual collection date is Friday, it will take place on Sunday (December 27) instead.

From December 28-30, collections will be one day later.

On New Year's Eve, collections will be two days later and on New Year's Day, three days later.

For the week beginning Monday, January 4, collections will take place a day later until normal service is resumed the following week.

Confused? Take a look at the table below for your revised date!

Townmead Road recycling centre

If you have excessive paper or card which cannot be deposited in your recycling containers, Richmond Council asks you to consider taking it to a local street recycling site or prebook an appointment to visit Townmead Road household waste and recycling centre in Kew.

At the time of writing, there are slots available on Tuesday, December 29.
