A fire broke out at Clapham Junction earlier today and there are now rail replacement busses between the station and Richmond.

Staff on the scene said the delays may continue until tomorrow morning.

Travellers are advised to check the South Western Railway website before travelling.

South Western Railway said: "The fire reported at Clapham Junction has been resolved.

"Whilst we are returning to normal, we expect there may be delays or cancellations to services through Clapham Junction."

Shortly after the fire South Western Railway said: "Due to a fire at a station at Clapham Junction all London bound lines are blocked. Train services running to and from this station may be delayed.

"This means that trains are unable to run through platforms 3/4 at Clapham Junction.

"Due to weekend engineering works, no other London bound lines are currently available."

Been delayed tonight? You may be eligible for compensation, view the South Western Railway compensation policy here.
