Eagle-eyed TV fans have spotted that Richmond has featured in series two of the BBC One drama 'The Night Manager'.

Starring Tom Hiddleston and Olivia Coleman, new episodes of the show were made available on January 1.

The show - based on John le Carré's characters - fasts forward 10 years from season one.

Jonathan Pine (Hiddlestone) is back as a low-level MI6 officer, but the series sees him in a violent encounter with Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos.

With the series shot across the world, it also features Richmond-upon-Thames in a surveillance scene.

The operation, which kick starts the plot, features Hilton in Park Lane, the Fairways Hotel in Paddington and the riverside in Richmond.

Tide Tables Cafe can be seen briefly in the sequence.
