15 issues police attended in Richmond Park over weekend

It was another busy weekend in Richmond Park.

Royal Parks Police have again released a lengthy list of the incidents they were called to yesterday (Sunday, March 7).

The 15-point list included reports of a "suspicious package" which later turned out to be a handbag.

The force said: "So what have officers based at Richmond Park done today?

  • 8 parking tickets issued
  • 1 vehicle reported for driving off road
  • 1 person reported for allowing their dog to chase a horse
  • in excess of over 150 people warned to move away from the deer
  • reunited lost 6-year-old child
  • 6 warnings for off track cycling
  • dog/ cyclist collision reported (bruising to cyclist, ambulance attended, but not hospitalised)
  • 4 warnings for dogs off leads in skylark fields
  • 2 people reported for allowing their dogs to chase the deer
  • 2 reported for feeding the deer
  • suspicious package at Ham Gate (package was a handbag)
  • attended and assisted rider who had fallen from horse (taken to hospital)
  • cyclist only collision reported, ruptured ligaments (taken to hospital)
  • 35 people warned about surrounding the deer at Bushy Park
  • cyclist/skateboarder collision reported, suspected broken collar bone (taken to hospital)

"Our officers are now on route back to Bushy Park to conduct anti-social behaviour patrols. We would like to thank the London Ambulance Service who were just as busy in the park today."

A similar list of misdemeanours and accidents was shared by the parks police on Saturday, February 27.
