Rinto Fitness in Orchard Road, Richmond has become known as a welcoming gym designed for families and beginners.
Open for nearly five years, the independent fitness centre focuses on providing a calm, inclusive space for people who want to get active without pressure or intimidation.
Owner Salim Jaman told Nub News: "We are not a bodybuilding gym. All fitness levels come here. Beginners, families, seniors, everyone feels welcome."
The space offers a full range of cardio and strength equipment, including squat racks and free weights.

Unlike most gyms, Rinto Fitness offers male and female specific saunas, as well as modern shower facilities.
This allows Salim to create a "culture" of support and inclusion at Rinto Fitness.
"People who are new to fitness often feel insecure or judged in gyms," he said. "Here, we help them feel comfortable from the start."

This is evident from the gym's family-oriented approach. Parents can work out while their children take part in classes or activities in the dedicated children's space in My Gym.
"Children are dropped here, they go to classes, while parents go to the gym. It is that simple" Salim explained.
There are also sessions for young people aged 11 to 15, and classes for those over 16.
"Families come together, and they are happy. That's the main audience for us," he added.

The gym also runs small group personal training with up to six people per class, providing a more affordable way to receive guidance.
Salim said: "Some people can't afford one-to-one sessions, so the small groups work very well. It's like semi-personal training."
Rinto Fitness runs around 80 classes each week, including yoga, Pilates, strength and conditioning, and hybrid sessions.
"Our instructors are friendly and experienced," Salim said. "They've been with us since the gym opened, and members like them a lot."

Members also have access to an app offering training programmes, nutrition plans, and exercise guidance.
Salim explained: "If someone goes on holiday, they can still follow their programme. The app helps them stay on track."
Rinto Fitness's focus is creating a community while building confidence through fitness.
"There is no judgment here," Salim said. "People come in, and we help them. It's a calm and relaxed environment."
