He'll need no introduction, but who is the most searched-for person on Wikipedia in Richmond?

The Pudding created a people map of the UK, replacing town names with their 'most Wikipedia-ed' resident.

This person could be someone who was born in, lived or has connections to the town.

Drumroll please...

According to the map, Richmond's most Wikipedia'ed person is Edward VIII.

Edward, born at White Lodge in Richmond Park, became King of the United Kingdom and the Dominions of the British Empire on January 20 1936. He was 41 at the time.

As King he attempted to marry Wallis Simpson, an American divorcee, sparking a constitutional crisis which led to him abdicating that same year, on December 11.

After leaving the throne he was made Duke of Windsor and served as Governor of the Bahamas between 1940-45.

He and Wallis married in June 1937 and remained wed until his death aged 77.
