A hot spell is on the horizon for Richmond.

The Met Office's deputy chief meteorologist, Nick Silkstone, said: "Along with the dry and sunny weather, southern areas of the UK will see temperatures rise due to a combination of high pressure and warm air from the continent."

"On Sunday temperatures across central and southern England will reach into the low to mid 20's Celsius and it'll turn warmer still as we start the new week, with temperatures possibly reaching around 29 or 30 Celsius in the south east early next week."

And Richmond has been forecast to see the beginnings of this hot weather this weekend.

It is set to begin with a burst of sun in the early morning on Saturday (September 12).

But the rest of Saturday is due to be cloudly with a gentle breeze and temperatures reaching 20C.

The weather warms up even further on Sunday. A very sunny day is predicted, with temperatures hitting 24C and lows of 10C at night.

This will rise even further to highs of 28C on Monday.

Enjoy your weekends .
