Two-day closure of Richmond Park car park as filming continues

One of the car parks in Richmond Park will be closed for the next two days for filming.

Broomfield Hill car park was closed on Monday (March 15) for the same reason and will be again throughout the early part of next week.

"Due to filming Broomfield Hill car park will be closed on Monday, March 22 and Tuesday, March 23, with a partial closure on Wednesday, March 24," the public notices section of the park website says.

According to a post on social media the filming is for a new Marvel movie.

Local resident Tim Pemberton said: "Took daughter on an adventure night ride.

"Refused entry to Richmond Park at Richmond gate as security on the gate said Marvel were filming in the park tonight!"

We went along with Twickenham resident Jack Fifield earlier this week.

A row of large lorries were parked facing the Tamsin Trail.

An employee said the filming was for a production to be released next year.

She said crews were only using the car park as a base and that the filming was taking place outside the park.
