As all sport shut down when Richmond entered the new Tier 4, a chance for some fresh air and exercise has emerged.

Pools on the Park has reopened its outdoor pool after reviewing the guidance around Covid-19.

"After reviewing the government guidance relating to Tier 4 and reviewing our own Covid Secure Procedures we are pleased to announce that the outdoor pool at Pools on the Park will re-open from Tuesday, December 22 for pre-booked sessions only," the centre said.

Residents moved quickly to snap up the spots.

Earlier today the centre said it only has "extremely limited spaces" available on Tuesday, December 29.

Sessions for Wednesday, December 30 will be available tomorrow.

It will be open for a swim 7am-1pm on December 30 and 31.
