It's been a long, long year and many of us are in need of a holiday.

Thankfully Flight Centre in The Quadrant, Richmond, is aiming to reopen next month.

The company told Richmond Nub News it spent the lockdown "reimagining" its business model and will bounce back stronger than before.

Flight Centre's head of retail marketing Yvonne Hobden said: "We are working on plans to open in September in our Richmond store, subject to developments with the pandemic.

"This, along with a new model we have of a virtual network of consultants and an 'associates', will allow our customers to interact with us in ways they prefer.

"We are excited about the new options this gives us nationwide and we are working on some innovative new plans to bring this to life further."

"Flight Centre Travel Group is in a strong position to survive in the long term and we have not stood still during this phase, instead choosing to take the time to reimagine our business for the future.

"Once demand lifts, we believe we will be well placed to bounce back stronger than ever before."
