House of Fraser in Richmond is closing in September.

Closing down signs have appeared at the department store in the town centre. Shoppers can get an extra 20% off purchases.

The large building is owned by a company called Canadian and Arcadia.

C&A is planning to turn it into office, retail and potentially leisure space and build a new fourth floor atop the building at 75-81 George Street.

The grand plans have the backing in principle from Richmond Council.
