Namaste Village in Twickenham will host a special celebration of Janmashtami on Saturday 23 August 2025.

The event will run from 12:30pm to 3pm at Namaste Village on 27 York Street, with tickets priced at £25 per person.

Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna, a central figure in Hinduism known for his wisdom and teachings on life, love and liberation.

This celebration promises to blend soulful storytelling with authentic Indian cuisine, offering a unique cultural experience for all ages.

Renowned speaker and author Dr Priya Virmani will lead the event, sharing engaging stories that explore Krishna's teachings and their relevance to modern life, encouraging reflection on how to shift, in her words, "from the rat race to grace."

Following the storytelling, guests will be treated to a specially curated Janmashtami buffet featuring:

  • Two traditional Indian curries
  • Two authentic starters
  • A side dish, fragrant rice, naan, and crispy papadum

The event is open to all, including families and children, and aims to create a space for cultural connection, community celebration, and conscious reflection.
