An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a brand-new specialist all-through school in Twickenham, supporting children and young people with autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The school provides a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment where pupils are supported to develop confidence, independence, and emotional resilience. Small class sizes and a highly experienced team ensure that each pupil receives the individual attention and care they need to thrive.

We are looking for a Children s Mental Health Assistant to join the team and support pupils across both Primary and Secondary age groups. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils learning, communication, and emotional wellbeing. Each day will be different filled with opportunities to make a real, positive impact on the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils within the classroom and during social or therapeutic activities.

  • Assist with emotional regulation and the development of social communication skills.

  • Encourage engagement and participation in learning through positive relationships and understanding.

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and pastoral teams.

  • Promote a safe, calm, and nurturing environment where every pupil can succeed.
