Learning Support Assistant - Kingston Help shape young lives and build brighter futures in a supportive SEN school

We're looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join the dedicated team at a specialist SEN primary school in Kingston.

The Role:

  • Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group support, adapting learning to meet the unique needs of pupils with autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD, and social-emotional challenges.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and motivated to engage
  • Helping pupils develop essential life skills and social confidence, celebrating every achievement, big or small.
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to set goals, monitor progress, and celebrate successes.
  • Acting as a role model, showing patience, empathy, and encouragement every step of the way.

Requirements:

  • A caring and resilient individual who believes in the potential of every child.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • A team player who can bring energy, adaptability, and positivity to the classroom.
  • Previous experience in an SEN, childcare, or educational setting is valued - but enthusiasm and the right attitude matter most.
  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support is desirable, but not essential.
