The Richmond Preachathon is a 12-hour dawn to dusk feat of preaching and discussion by the vicar of St Mary Magdalene, the Rev Robert Stanier.

Robert is undertaking the marathon as an original way of helping raise funds for the church's new bells and supporting the Richmond Soup Kitchen. He is new to the parish and is hoping to make himself known to the wider Richmond community.

The event on September 22 (the autumn equinox) will feature Robert preaching and story telling all through the day. From time to time he will be joined by well known guests who will interview him or take part in discussion.

The bell ringers have raised more than £200,000 of their target of £240,000 and are hoping that members of the public will sponsor Robert through our Crowdfunder page https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/
