Saxophonist Mark Hurrell's ferocious and individualistic sound shines out through his virtuosic playing and pioneering composition. A true improviser and creative force on the European jazz scene.

Since 2021 Mark has been living, playing, and studying in Scandinavia. April 2023 will see him return to London for a select number of dates with his all-star UK-based quartet. Bringing with him all original music reflective of the wonders and beauty he has so far found in Scandinavia.

John J. Williamson's small-band project brings together a diversity of influences, anchored by melodic instinct and emotional honesty. The trio includes renowned saxophonist Alex Hitchcock, and Jay Davis, whose effervescent drumming propels a number of outstanding UK bands.

John's compositions, described as "fantastic... so much more than what appears on the page", range from neo-Tristano treatments of songbook harmony to 'big-sky' Americana influenced by his time in the US. A selection of standards and arrangements completes an intimate, expressive set.
