The One Hundred, an Alperton-based housing development, is throwing open its doors for a series of free open days across three dates in August.  

Aimed at giving potential homeowners information about getting on the property ladder on the 9th, 23rd and 30th August, visitors will be able to tour the apartments and local area, as well as ask about shared ownership, the process of buying a home and life at the development.  

The One Hundred is a waterside community of stylish one, two and three-bedroom homes, offered on a shared ownership basis. In a scenic setting next to the canal, the development offers a perfect blend of the hustle and bustle of the city and the tranquillity of neighbourhood living. The development is also perfectly located just a 12-minute walk from Alperton and Stonebridge Park Stations allowing easy access to the City and West End. 

Shared ownership allows more people to purchase their own homes, typically requiring a lower deposit and overall lower monthly outgoings. After purchasing a share of the home, often between 25% and 75% of the property's total value buyers are only required to pay a mortgage on the share of the property they own, pay a reduced rent on the remaining share, and a service charge. There is also the option to purchase more shares over time, through a process known as 'staircasing', with the opportunity to purchase up to 100% of the home.
