TEENS CREATIVE WRITING GROUP After a year of SOLD OUT children's creative writing courses, we are so excited to launch a space for teens!

We know the importance of creating an environment that is welcoming, engaging and nurturing.

We have seen first hand the impact our children's courses have had on uniting creatives across Richmond, and are so looking forward to expanding this to young people, aged 12-16 yrs.

Following a successful teens taster class, we will be hosting this 8-week creative writing group for young writers ages 12-16.

This will be an 8-week course taking place on Wednesdays after school (4:45-5:35pm) throughout the Autumn term.

Your ticket will cover the entire course, all materials provided. Please note that tickets are selling fast so book in advance.

The writing group will meet on the following dates:

• Session 1: Wednesday 9th September 2026 (4:45-5:35pm)
• Session 2: Wednesday 16th September 2026 (4:45-5:35pm)
• Session 3: Wednesday 23rd September 2026 (4:45-5:35pm)
• Session 4: Wednesday 30th September 2026 (4:45-5:35pm)
• Session 5: Wednesday 7th October 2026 (4:45-5:35pm)
• Session 6: Wednesday 14th October 2026 (4:45-5:35pm)
• Session 7: Wednesday 21st October 2026 (4:45-5:35pm)
• OCTOBER HALF TERM: NO SESSION
• Session 8: Wednesday 4th November 2026 (4:45-5:35pm)

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no session during October Half Term (Wednesday 28th October 2026)

Information: This group is designed for teens aged 12-16 and offers a great opportunity for teens to develop their creativity, writing skills, and make friends amongst the group.

The sessions allow participants to build their own stories throughout the term, guided by Mariah, with the opportunity to share ideas and progress with their peers.

These creative writing sessions invite teens to discover the art of storytelling in a welcoming and inspiring environment.

Designed to build a creative community right here in Richmond, it's a space for young writers to explore their imagination, develop their craft, and connect with like-minded readers and storytellers.

Each week we'll explore a different literary theme - such as dialogue, character, genre, and world-building - through writing prompts, practical techniques, and the work of beloved authors.

Writers will then have the opportunity to develop an original narrative throughout the course, building and refining their story week by week while discovering their own unique voice as a writer.

Whether you're new to writing or already love creating stories, these sessions offer a nurturing space to experiment, grow in confidence, and celebrate the art of storytelling.

About Mariah Mannae: Mariah is an accomplished writer, educator and youth mentor, with over 10 years of experience in arts and education.

She was one of only 16 selected for the prestigious Curtis Brown Creative Novel Program.

She received the Dennis Diderot Grant for her screenplay and completed a residency in the renowned Château d'Orquevaux Artists & Writers Residency in France.

Mariah is passionate about empowering the next generation of creatives and helping young artists find their voices.

The price of the full 8-week group is £120 per attendee. This ticket will cover the classes on all of the above dates, taking place on Wednesdays, 4:45-5:35pm.
