Rugby this weekend: London Welsh still looking for spark to ignite season

London Welsh will be hoping to shake off their early season form as they take on a fellow one-win team in Sutton and Epsom.

Welsh have had a frustrating start to the season as they have lost out in many narrow games this season, losing all but one game by around one score.

If they are to get over the start to the season then they may fancy their chances against a Sutton and Epsom side who have had a similar start to the season, having also only won one of their first five.

Kick-off at Cuddington Court is at 3pm on Saturday.

Harlequins will be hoping to bounce back from a heavy Premiership Cup defeat as they host Leicester Tigers at the Twickenham Stoop this weekend.

Having not been in action last weekend, Quins returns to action on Tuesday as they lost against Northampton 49-29.

Despite having played a game less than some in the Premiership, it has been a steady start for Harlequins as they have two wins from four games and sit fifth in the Gallagher Premiership.

Their opponents in Leicester have also got two wins so far this season, but have played five games and are behind Harlequins on bonus points in the table.

Kick-off at the Twickenham Stoop is at 3pm on Sunday.

Teddington will be looking to keep up their imperious start to the season as their perfect record goes on trial again on the road against Old Blues.

The start of the season could hardly have been any better for Teddington as following a delayed start to the season they have won four games out of four.

They travel to Merton this weekend and will be favourites to keep that record going as Old Blues have only won one game so far this season and are third from bottom in the Counties 2 Surrey table.

Kick-off at Motspur Park is at 3pm on Saturday.

Elsewhere in the area London Irish are in Friday night action away at Sale Sharks, Twickenham RFC play host to Weybridge Vandals, and Kingston RFC are at home against Old Tiffinians.
