Team Richmond celebrate podium success at London Youth Games Cross Country

Team Richmond competed in the London Youth Games Cross Country on Saturday, 8 November finishing on the podium.

They were crowned champions in the 'male overall borough' standings, as well as achieving silver in the 'female overall borough' table.

Team Richmond was made up of 89 athletes (48 boys and 41 girls) which joined over 1,500 athletes from all 32 London boroughs at the meet on Parliament Hill Fields, Hampstead Heath.

Richmond Council said: "The atmosphere on the Heath was electric as hundreds of schools, clubs and borough teams came together for one of the most iconic fixtures in the London Youth Games calendar."

In terms of individual standout achievements, Laura Graham won Bronze for Richmond in the U13 Girls race, finishing the 2km race in 07:51.
