Richmond judo girls strike gold at London Youth Games as boys take silver

Richmond's judo team delivered a remarkable performance at the London Youth Games this past weekend (Saturday, 31 May), competing against representatives from all 32 London boroughs.
The girls' team dominated the competition, clinching a gold medal through a series of commanding victories.
Meanwhile, the boys' team finished in a close second place, narrowly missing the chance for a double gold for Richmond.
These results represent one of Richmond's strongest showings in recent years and reflect the dedication of both the athletes and the coaches.
The London Youth Games (LYG) Foundation is the largest annual youth sports event in Europe, offering competitive and participation opportunities to over 160,000 young Londoners aged 7 to 17 across 37 sports.
