Richmond will be placed in Tier 2 of the government's coronavirus restrictions.

The announcement was made by Health Secretary Matt Hancock in Parliament at 11.30am.

Richmond's transport chief has made a passionate argument for the protected cycle lane on Kew Road after a petition was launched calling for its immediate cancellation.

The manager of Richmond Park has issued a plea to dog owners following reports that a dog died after chasing deer.

A post on social media on Friday read: "Yesterday my daughter saw the deer kick a Weimaraner to death in Richmond Park. Apparently it was very quick, the dog chased into a large herd of red deer, then a small group of bucks turned on it.
