After some bitterly cold spells, temperatures are bouncing back in Richmond.
It got so chilly that the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol was activated across London on Monday and emergency shelters were opened to protect rough sleepers.

We are in the "most dangerous phase of the pandemic", the leader of Richmond Council said as he called on residents to "be extra safe and vigilant this weekend to save lives and jobs".
The borough faces being brought under Tier 3 restrictions potentially next week as coronavirus spreads in London – despite Richmond's current low number of cases.
The charity which runs Richmond's Royal Parks has told visitors that they shouldn't expect to find Santa's reindeer there.
Their reminder follows an incident last month when Royal Parks Police condemned people who brought carrots seemingly to feed the wild deer.

A group in Richmond is appealing to the Mayor of London to consider an alternative, smaller scale plan for the redevelopment of the former Stag Brewery site.
The Mortlake Brewery Community Group (MBCG) says the current 1,250-home development proposals for the Stag Brewery site would "nearly double the population of Mortlake and force more cars and pollution on to the local road network, which doesn't have the capacity to cope".
