Recently retired police officer Sally Benatar has been awarded the Queen's Police Medal in the New Years Honours list.
The former Chief Superintendent was the South West London commander for the Metropolitan police.

The Education Secretary Gavin Williamson has today announced he is delaying the start of term for schools in Richmond.
The new measures apply across all Tier Four regions.
The Health Secretary Matt Hancock has today announced tier changes across the country.
The whole of London however will remain in Tier Four.
A man has been ordered to pay a fine after his dog killed a fallow deer in Richmond Park.
The incident took place on September 12th in the park with David Reay, 69, being fined for the incident.
Residents are reminded not to risk the health of their family, friends and neighbours this New Year's Eve and ONLY welcome in 2021 with those they live with or those in their support bubble.
As Richmond upon Thames remains in Tier 4, owing to the rising number of Coronavirus cases across London, the rules around celebrating New Year's Eve are the same as for any day of the year.

Young care leavers in Richmond enjoyed a Christmas to remember thanks to volunteers from the Richmond Christmas Day Dinner.
Fifty young adults who have recently left care received a hot meal, a sack of gifts and a hamper of essentials, all delivered to their door on the day by Christmas 'elves'.
