Plans for more mass vaccination sites in South West London have been unveiled.

People could soon be asked to attend appointments at Battersea Arts Centre (Wandsworth), Centrale Shopping Centre (Croydon), Queen Mary's Hospital (Wandsworth), St Nicholas Centre (Sutton), Centre Court (Merton) and AFC Wimbledon (Merton).

The council aims to support the building of 1,000 new homes over the next ten years

Richmond Council has agreed a new housing and homelessness strategy, after concerns more people will be at risk of losing their homes when furlough ends.

Councillors at Wednesday's Adult Social Services, Health and Housing committee (February 16) were told that the council expects "significant numbers of households" in the borough will have lost employment or be furloughed and may be struggling to pay housing costs.

Public finances have been damaged by the pandemic

Richmond Council says it wants to "avoid adding additional strain on individuals' finances after the toughest year in a decade" and announced its lowest Council Tax increase for five years.

But an additional 3% in the precept for Adult Social Care and a rise of nearly 10% in the amount charged by the Mayor of London means bills will increase.

Traffic on the Kew Road cycle lane

Kew Gardens has admitted to "concerns" about its new coach drop-off arrangements in its most expansive statement about the new protected cycle lane on Kew Road to date.

Installed in September on an 18-month trial period, the cycle lane consists of three sections roughly 500m each on both sides of the road, with a system of raised posts (known as wands and armadillos) separating cyclists from vehicular traffic.
