The Friends of Twickenham Green have decided to halt accepting donations for Afghan refugees after being overwhelmed by the generosity of local families.
The group dropped a huge consignment of clothing and other essentials to the Afghanstani and Central Asian Association in Feltham on Monday.

Residents in Richmond will be getting five free months of garden waste collections as compensation for cancelled collections due to crew shortages.
Collections for garden waste across Richmond borough were suspended from July 17 to August 16 due to shortages of bin collectors who were caught up in the 'pingdemic' and told to self isolate by an NHS app.

Police officers will be missing from the streets in the local community over the coming days after the teams were called into central London to help cope with the Extinction Rebellion protests.
A tweet from the St Margarets police twitter account confirmed a change of scenery stating:
All roads through Richmond Park will be closed on Sunday, September 5, to allow the London Duathlon 2020 to take place.
The sold out competition consists of four separate events the half, full, team, and ultra-Duathlons, which are broken down into running, then cycling and then a final running leg in the style of a triathlon.

It has been changed from a Metro to an Express as part of a wider policy applied to 89 stores across the country that has drawn criticism from residents and MPs.

The loos, which were installed in March this year, will be taken away by Richmond Council from Tuesday 31 August (after the Bank Holiday).
