Richmond is looking forward to a sunny winter's weekend.

The sun is set to shine both days from 9am-4pm, so it will be fine weather for a brisk walk.

It will also be very chilly, and a weather warning has been issued by the Met Office.

The forecaster warns of icy conditions from midnight on Friday until 11am on Saturday (January 9).

It may cause difficult conditions for driving and people should be wary of:

  • some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
  • icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths

Temperatures will be 3-4C during the day and may fall as low as -3 in the night.
