Fifteen players of the Get Lucky Local community lottery won three free tickets for next Saturday's draw.

Over 1,000 tickets were sold for the 18th draw last Saturday and 54 good causes in Richmond borough are now signed up the lottery, generating over £31.000 a year towards their fund-raising.

Community groups are now recognising how the Get Lucky Local lottery can help boost their fund-raising efforts especially given the struggle to hold events during the pandemic.

Lorna Votier of the Victoria Foundation said: "Get Lucky Local community lottery gives charities the opportunity to raise funds by offering something new to current supporters and also provides the opportunity to reach a new audience. The range of charity specific branded materials makes it easy to promote the lottery.

"The Victoria Foundation is delighted to be part of the Get Lucky Local 'family' which is helping to raise much needed funds to support those in need in our community."

Teddington Hockey Club's director of hockey Neil Guilder said: "Teddington Hockey Club is proud to have joined Get Lucky Local. It is a wonderful way to support your local community and an easy way to raise funds for your club. Also, you get a chance to win some wonderful prizes and we have had many winners already. It is a win win for everyone involved."

Good causes nominated by this week's winners included Friends of Chase Bridge, ETNA Community Centre, Hampton Hill Theatre, Teddington Hockey Club, Whitton Wanderers Youth FC, Hearts of Teddlothian FC, Hampton Hill Cricket Club, Hampton Wick Royal Cricket Club, Landmark Arts Centre, Teddington Hockey Club, Crossroads Care and Teddington Swimming Club.

The sale of just 100 tickets a week will raise £2600 a year for your chosen organisation. Cash prizes of £25,000, £2,000, £250 and £25 can be won every week.
