Watch: Take a tour of Richmond's new ramen bar as it opens today

Ramen is all the rage in Richmond as Bone Daddies opens its new restaurant.

The ramen bar in Hill Street is open from today (Wednesday, October 14).

A launch night was held yesterday and Richmond Nub News was fortunate to be given a first glimpse inside and you can watch our video tour here.

The restaurant has three floors with dining tables on the first two and toilets at the very top.

It has dimmed but not dark lighting and pumps out bassy, live music which creates an atmospheric vibe.

It's easy to take a peek into the large kitchen in the middle of the ground floor to see what the chefs are rustling up.

Which brings us to that important question, what's on the menu?

If you are a ramen novice (like myself) the tonkotsu pork ramen is a solid choice.

You can choose from a wide selection of extra toppings to add to your broth, including corn, tofu, fried chicken, bok choy (rather difficult to eat with limited chopsticks skills), cock scratchings or an extra Clarence Court egg.

There are snacks including delicious fried chicken which comes with a spicy yuzu kosho mayo dip, kimchee (fermented cabbage), pig bones and edamame beans.

Bone Daddies Richmond is also serving up bao buns, katsu curry and poke bowls.

For dessert, there's mochi ice cream - which is unlike your typical scoop and comes in flavours such as green tea, sesame, strawberry cheesecake and mango.

Half price dining

For its first 12 days in town, the ramen bar is giving diners half-price food and soft drinks up to a saving of £10.

"So you know Bone Daddies Richmond is opening on Wednesday October 14 and Gav and the crew are absolutely pumped.

"Well, we want you to be pumped too and we think everyone needs a good dose of positive vibes right now so we're giving you 50% off up to a tenner until October 25.

"Stop in, say hey, grab a bowl of hot noods and get to know us a little better."

Opening hours are 11.30am until 9pm, seven days a week.
