Two businesses in Richmond have been nominated for regional awards which recognise the work of local independents.

The businesses have been named in two different different categories in the 'Muddy Awards 2024' which opened for voting earlier this month.

Organised for the 11th time by online guide Muddy Stilettos London, the awards shortlist five different businesses in each of 21 different categories.

Categories cover best beauty salon to best children's business, and all the finalists have been nominated by the public.

Locally, Swiss Bread Bakery and Café in Richmond has been shortlisted as one of the five best categories in London.

Meanwhile Feather & Stitch has been named in the final five for best Women's Fashion/Accessories in London.

Locals now have the chance to vote for their favourite businesses, to see who is crowned the champion in each category.

Organisers said: "The Muddy Stilettos Awards are the most coveted awards for independent lifestyle businesses, running across 28 counties and totally FREE to enter from start to finish.

"Run with positivity and a sense of fun, the Muddy Awards offer our 3.8 million readers a chance to say a massive THANK YOU to their favourite local businesses.

"It takes just seconds to show your support, and you'll also be in with a chance to win a two-night stay at The Pig Hotel, worth £1,250."
