Two people have appeared in court charged with a number robberies on Wandsworth Common following detailed investigation by Met detectives.

The Met Police were recently alerted to a series of robberies around Wandsworth Common.

Those responsible were targeting people with mobile phones or stealing their bank cards.

Its specialist robbery squad worked around the clock to identify those it believes are responsible.

Two males have been charged with multiple robbery offences committed on two dates in June 2024.

A hunt for a third man who is believed to be involved is underway, according to the Met.

Officers say they are targeting the most prolific offenders in this area and are using data and specialist tactics to bring them to justice.

The Met say If residents see an offence taking place please dial 999 immediately; if you can help identify the third male involved in these incidents please dial 101 and ask for the Wandsworth Robbery Squad.
