TV’s Sally Phillips to join the fun at Kew Fete

Roll up for over 100 stalls, a vintage fairground, live entertainment and the infamous Kew Fete Tug of War.

The annual event begins at 11am on Saturday and features all the fun of a traditional summer fair, including highlights such as The Friendly Dog Show.

The award-winning actor Sally Phillips, has agreed to be the celebrity judge.

Dog lover Sally is known for her roles in 'I'm Alan Partridge', 'Smack the Pony', 'Green Wing', and 'Miranda' – as well as Shazzer in the 'Bridget Jones trilogy'.

Sally is also proud to be Patron of Skylarks, a charity whose vision is a world where children with additional needs can thrive.

She owns four dogs Teddy and Lottie (Slovakian crossbreed rescues), Tilda, (an English miniature bull-terrier) and Billy (a Jack Russell) so she's perfectly placed to judge our seven categories alongside our sponsor Richmond Vets.

Visitors can enjoy Reuben Bond's vintage Fairground with carousels, a helter skelter and many more rides for the kids.

The stage with feature performances from locals schools, performing arts clubs and bands, while there are around 110 stalls supporting local community groups and charities.

A Food Court with over 15 stalls with a great selection of food and drink, while visitors will also be able to cool off in a beer tent.

There is a Tug of War competition, for adults and children. Enter your team (teams of 6) on the day before 1pm with the first pull at 1:30pm

Prizes have donated by local businesses for a local raffle, which will be drawn at 5pm.
