Traffic flowing in one direction only around Lidl construction site

There is heavy traffic around Richmond and St Margarets this afternoon (Friday, December 18).

A lorry is unloading at the construction site of the new Lidl on Richmond Road.

Traffic is only able to flow in one direction at a time as a result and workers are holding up 'Stop/ Go' signs.

Drivers are sitting in congestion on Richmond Bridge, along Richmond Road towards Marble Hill Park and on St Margarets Road.

As we reported earlier this week, the opening of the new supermarket has been pushed back and is expected some time in early 2021.
