Top ten Firework night events in and around Richmond this year

The nights are getting colder, the leaves are getting crunchier and bonfire night is just around the corner.

Nub News has rounded up some of the best bonfire night events in and around Richmond!

Richmond Family Fireworks 2023 at Richmond Athletic Ground - Sunday 5 November:

This year the display will be themed around the monarchy, with a fully composed fireworks display to music.

The gates will open at 4:30pm when the funfair and all the stalls will be open.

There will also be a 'Happy Hour' in Richmond Athletic Ground's bars from 16:30 to 17:30pm.

There will be an array of food on offer, including hamburgers and hot dogs, mulled wine, and a fully licensed bar.

Basement Door, the Richmond-based charity, will be entertaining the crowds on the main pitch from 17:45 along with Studio K and Resolution Dance - two locally based dance companies.

The fireworks display, choreographed to iconic tunes, begins at 19:00.

Petersham and Ham Sea Scouts Fireworks - Saturday 4 November:

Petersham and Ham Sea Scouts are hosting their annual bonfire and fireworks evening.

There will be glowsticks, a sizzling BBQ, delicious cakes, toffee apples, and both warm and cold drinks including the mobile bar.

Gates will open from 5.00 pm with the bonfire lit at 5.30 pm and fireworks at approximatly 7 pm.

RPA Firework spectacular - Saturday 4 November:

There will be a bar, face painting, and candyfloss at this exciting display!

This event will run from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

Fireworks Display at Hampton Court House - Sunday 5 November:

Hampton Court House is hosting a mesmerising evening of fireworks from 6 pm on Sunday

There will be food trucks and a bar, this event is perfect for families, friends, and anyone looking to have a fantastic time.

Wimbledon Park Bonfire & Fireworks 2023 - Saturday 4 November:

Wimbledon Park Bonfire Night returns with two sets one starting earlier for younger visitors with a Magical theme for 2023 and another louder version a little later on for adults, with a One-Hit Wonders soundtrack.

The first bonfire will be lit at 6:30 pm, followed 15 minutes later by a child-friendly fireworks display, with the second bonfire lit at 8:30 pm. 

There will also be a small funfair, food stalls and a bar to keep you busy. Everything wraps up at 10 pm.

Fireworks Spectacular at The Lensbury - Friday 3 November:

The Lensbury's annual firework night is back with the theme of 'A Night at The Oscars'.

There will be a spectacular Fireworks Display, a British bonfire, a street food stall, a DJ all night long, rides and games.

The Angler's Charity Fireworks - Sunday 5 November:

The Angler's are hosting their annual charity fireworks night in aid of their chosen charities. Gates open at 5:30 pm with the fireworks starting at 8 pm.

There will be live music, pizza, wings, hog roast, glow sticks, mulled wine and a full bar!

Entry is £5 for over 16s.

50% of ticket sales will be donated to charity, and donations kindly accepted for their chosen charities.

Barnes Bonfire Night - Saturday 4 November:

The traditional bonfire night celebration at Barnes Sports Club will feature a traditional bonfire, hot mulled wine, large bar, BBQ selling hot dogs and burgers and a spectacular firework display.

There will be a Best Guy competition - winning entry gets a chance to light the Bonfire!

There a sparklers and glowsticks which can be bought on-site and a DJ and live performance from band The Connection.

Battersea Park Fireworks - Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 November:

The iconic Battersea Park Firework night is back!

Tickets for Saturday are sold out but Sunday tickets are still available!

The classic Saturday Night will host a spectacular fireworks display and traditional bonfire, alongside plenty of options for winter comfort food, warming mulled wine and glow in the dark face-paint. 

The family orientated Sunday Night show will return on the 5th November. Alongside the food, drinks and face-paint, Sunday will deliver its own unique and stunning display suited to the younger ones with an earlier start time and an awe-inspiring fire show to replace the traditional bonfire.

Fireworks night – Chiswick Rugby Club - Saturday 4 November:

The gates for this display will open as early as 6:30pm with food and drink being served.

Lil'Watan will be catering the event with their fantastic Lebanese food and there will be an outside bar serving drinks along with the bar in the clubhouse.
