Brawl breaks out in Richmond as police investigate 'suspected stabbing'

Paramedics treated three men in their 20s for injuries after a "suspected stabbing" and fight involving a large group in Richmond.

The violent scenes happened in Hill Street on Saturday night.

Police said no arrests have been made as of 5pm on Sunday and that there was no evidence that anyone was stabbed.

An investigation has begun and anyone with information is urged to report it.

Footage of the fight was posted on Facebook by @AdelLondonOfficial.

Later on Saturday, officers were called to a large gathering on Richmond Green and more than 100 people were dispersed.

Police said: "We are aware of some information circulating about incidents last night in Hill Street, Richmond and on Richmond Green. Here is a summary of key events:

"On Saturday, June 20 at 10.30pm, police were called to Hill Street to reports of a suspected stabbing and a large group of people who were fighting.

"Upon attendance, officers identified three males in their 20s who had sustained injuries.

"All three received medical treatment by the London Ambulance Service at the scene. Injuries were deemed neither life-changing nor life-threatening.

"A crime scene was put in place at the time but this has since been closed.

"There is no evidence at this stage that anyone was stabbed, and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.

"Anyone who has information about this incident is asked to call 101 and quote CRIS 0706255/20.

"Later that evening, at approximately 11pm, police were made aware of over 100 people gathered on Richmond Green causing a disturbance and anti-social behaviour.

"By approximately midnight, officers had dispersed the groups. No arrests were made and no injuries were sustained by our officers.

"Residents are advised to report large gatherings and anti-social behaviour to police by either calling 101 or reporting online here.

"If it is an emergency, or a crime is in progress, dial 999."
