Local MPs have sent their thoughts and prayers to the Queen amid new concerns for the monarch's health.

Both Prince Charles and Prince William have travelled to her bedside in Balmoral after her doctors raised concerns.

The Princess Royal is at Balmoral, and the Duke of York and the Earl and Countess of Wessex are on their way to the Queen's Scottish home.

Twickenham MP, Munira Wilson, wrote on Twitter: "Very concerned to hear the news about the Queen.

"My thoughts and prayers are with Her Majesty and her family at this time."

The Richmond Park MP, Sarah Olney, retweeted the Lib-Dem leader and Kingston MP, Ed Davey, who said: "The whole nation's thoughts and prayers are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family as we all hope and pray for her full recovery."

The Queen, who is 96, pulled out of a virtual Privy Council on Wednesday, a day after appointing Liz Truss as PM at her home in the Scottish Highlands on the advice of royal doctors.
