The Slug & Lettuce Richmond to close for two weeks during works

Bar chain, The Slug & Lettuce (S&L), has submitted an application to replace the front signs of its Richmond site with a new "fresh" look.

Owners of S&L, Stonegate Group, put forward the application to Richmond Council last week (2 October) to replace the existing signage but keep the same "heritage feel".

In its application, Stonegate Group, state: "Keeping the heritage feel of the existing signage, we aimed to give it a fresh look and retaining the current signs positions. Renew lighting and lanterns."

The S&L on Water Lane, Richmond last had a sign replacement back in 2017 and plans to have a dark blue and 'flamingo' pink coloured design, part of brand-wide revamp.

Sign positions will remain the same but during works S&L will close to customers as well as traffic.

Speaking to Nub News, S&L, said that works will take approximately two weeks and that the bar will reopen on Thursday, 7 November.

To mark the reopening, on Friday, 8 November it will be hosting a Flamingo Bingo event welcome to all.
