The Orange Tree Theatre has announced its full casting for Checkov's Uncle Vanya which will be running at The Orange Tree Theatre from 7 March to 13 April 2024.

The play will star David Ahmad (Telegin), William Chubb (Professor Serebryakov), Juliet Garricks (Marina), Madeleine Gray (Sonya), James Lance – best known for his Emmy nominated performance in Ted Lasso (Vanya), Guys and Dolls' Andrew Richardson (Astrov), Lily Sacofsky (Elena) and Susan Tracy (Maria).

Director, Trevor Nunn said: "Uncle Vanya is a masterpiece of naturalistic theatre, requiring of the audience total belief in each and every character and situation.

"So, it is a great privilege for me to have the opportunity to investigate Chekhov's multi-layered human comedy in the intimate, inclusive and immersive environment of the Orange Tree Theatre.

"The keenness of my anticipation has now been multiplied by having assembled a cast of brilliant actors to explore all three dimensions of this famous play."
