The Great River Race takes place in London tomorrow, finishing in Richmond.

The boat race covers 21.6 miles from Millwall in the East to Richmond in the West, travelling under London's famous bridges.

It appeals to every level of competitor, from dedicated athletes who come every year to beat their records to those who simply enjoy laughter, fancy dress and making money for their charity.

The start time varies each year due to tidal conditions, but the race will begin at Millwall Riverside, Westferry Road London Docklands and travel through Londons bridges, including Richmond Bridge.

The race finishes at the riverside below Ham House, in Richmond.

The race winner will receive The Challenge Trophy of The Company of Watermen & Lightermen and becoming the UK Traditional Boat Champions in the process.
