A teenager was stabbed in Richmond yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called Clifford Avenue at 3.11pm to reports of a teenage male with a stab injury.

The victim was treated at the scene and taken to a major trauma centre. Police say his condition is not life-threatening.

Police officers, an ambulance crew, a medic in a car and an incident response officer all attended the scene.

Road closures and the crime scene have been lifted.

Police enquiries continue.
