Local businesses have been thanked for participating in Richmond town centre's successful Easter Egg Hunt.

On Good Friday, families were welcomed by not only warm weather but the Easter Bunny himself, while they explored Richmond in search of letters on hidden rabbits.

Once participants collected all the letters, they worked together to solve the secret nine-letter word, before heading over to Richmond Hill or Venchi to claim their delicious chocolatey surprise.

In addition to the Egg Hunt, participants also had the chance to enter a prize draw for an exclusive Venchi Easter Hamper by leaving their details in the online form. One lucky winner was picked at random and collected their fabulous reward this week.

The event was organised by Be Richmond, which represents town centre businesses and promotes the area to visitors.

Ellen Amorina Storrar of Be Richmond said: "It was heartwarming to see families and friends come together, explore the High Street, and have fun hunting for bunnies. We hope everyone enjoyed the event and made great memories."

She thanked participating businesses - Venchi, The Alligator's Mouth, Raygun Comics, Newbie, Bridge & Hill Livingstore, The Fat Badger Farm Shop, Bramble & Moss, Richmond Rascals, and 144 On The Hill Restaurant and Bar.
