Spring Bank Holiday weekend tide tables in Richmond

By The Editor 27th May 2021

There have been particularly high tides on the Thames this week and further flooding is possible over the Bank Holiday Weekend.

The Environment Agency issued flood warnings earlier in the week for properties between Putney and Teddington.

This is when to expect high tide at Richmond Lock over the long weekend:

Friday 28: 4:39am and 5.05pm with river levels of up to 5.5m

Saturday 29: 5.27am and 5.50pm with water reaching 5.5m

Sunday 30: 6:15am and 6.35pm with a height of 5.3m

Monday 31: 7:06am and 7.22pm with a high tide height of 4.9m

The Environment Agency's flood alert is in force for the Tidal Thames riverside from Putney Bridge to Teddington Weir.

The alert is likely has been in force all week and will possibly be continued across the weekend.

The Environment Agency said undefended roads and footpaths will flood at high tide, not properties.

It said: "The river flow at Teddington Weir is high for this time of year at 145 cubic metres per second and is steady.

"We anticipate the flows to remain high for the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation."
