Richmond's The Orange Tree Theatre has announced this year's OT Young Company Production.

The production this year will be The Maladies by by Carmen Nasr.

The play follows four friends, a podcast and an an epidemic afflicting women across time and space.

The Maladies follows Cleo, Leonie, Tamara, and Jessica as their feminist podcast Empowercast investigates a mysterious epidemic that causes women to fall silent.

Their journey to the truth causes them to butt heads with their new corporate sponsors, while secrets of past epidemics are revealed.

The boundaries of time and space are shattered in this mind boggling journey through 500 years of fictional history.

Performances will be taking place on Monday 6 May at 2:30pm and Monday 6 May at 7:30pm.
