1. Ben & Imo- Orange Tree Theatre
About: Benjamin Britten is under pressure and on a deadline.
He has just nine months to write a wildly ambitious new opera to celebrate the Coronation of Elizabeth II – and he isn't entirely sure he wants to.
And then he meets Imogen Holst: daughter of Gustav, multi-talented musician, and all-round force of nature.
As storms lash the Aldeburgh beaches, Ben and Imo race against the clock to compose an opera fit for a monarch – and test the very edges of their passionate friendship.

2. Childline's Magical Musical Stories - NSPCC

About: There will be a performance of Peter and the Wolf – The Oscar-winning animation film directed by Susie Templeton of Sergei Prokofiev's immortal story and music performed by the concert-pianist Parvis Hejazi.
This will then be followed by Zal and the Phoenix – An adaptation of Ferdowsi's 1000-year-old Tale.
It will be Narrated by Tony Palmer, the celebrated film director and illustrated by Annabel Sebag-Montefiore and Cristina Martin, projected on screen to an original soundtrack of Persian music by Adib & Mehdi Rostami.
Childline will be using children from the local community to help narrate Zal and the Phoenix.
When: Saturday, 17 May from 2:30pm and 4pm (two, one hour shows).

3. Boogie at the Bar - OSO Arts Centre
About: Local DJ, DJ Senrab, is back by popular demand. He'll be firing up his deck once more to create a relaxed vibe alongside some fresh and vibrant street food and drinks at the Bar.
All proceeds from this event will go towards our fundraising goal of £25k in 2025 to celebrate OSO Arts' 25th birthday.
When: Saturday, 17 May 2025 at 7pm (Doors open 7:30pm).
