Submissions are still open for The Alligator's Mouth Awards 2025 as the deadline for entries approaches.

The children's book prize is run by The Alligator's Mouth in partnership with the Bright Agency, and in association with Gardners Books.

It celebrates the 'very best highly' illustrated British books for readers aged 6-8.

The award is inviting UK publishers to submit their entries before Friday, 22 November 2024.

Alligator Mouth say publishers can submit up to three titles per imprint.

The longlist entries are expected to be announced on March 2025, the shortlisted entries on May 2025 and the winner on July 2025 during an award ceremony.

Winner of The Alligator's Mouth Awards 2024 was Adventuremice: Otter Chaos by Philip Reeve and Sarah McIntyre (David Fickling Books).
