South Western Railway (SWR) has confirmed that services between Clapham Junction and Barnes are being disrupted today (Tuesday, 9 September) due to overrunning engineering works.

One of the lines towards Barnes, Hounslow and Richmond remains blocked, leading to cancellations, delays and service revisions across the route.

SWR said disruption is expected to continue until the end of the day.

An SWR spokesperson said: "Engineers are on their way to site. At present one of the lines towards Barnes, Hounslow and Richmond are blocked.

"We don't know when the line is expected to reopen. We are very sorry for any disruption to your journey."

Passengers are advised to check live updates before travelling, and to speak to station staff or use a help point if they need assistance with their journey.
