The festive season approaching means the announcement of Christmas events in and around Richmond.
From concerts to Christmas markets, keep reading to find out our top picks this year.
1. Treasure Island
About: Orange Tree Theatre brings Treasure Island to families this Christmas by Hannah Khalil, pirated from the novel by R.L. Stevenson directed by Natasha Rickman.
When the fearsome sea-dog Captain Flint dies suddenly, Jim Hawkins and friends stumble on the key to a fortune.
Landlubbers all their lives, they board the good ship Hispaniola with a crew hand-picked by the trusty cook, Long John Silver.
Performers from the OT Young Company join forces with Carne Associate Director Natasha Rickman and a professional creative team for a swashbuckling adventure.

2. Carys Bexington: Christmas Author Visit
About: Join The Alligator's Mouth with Carys Bexington for an interactive reading of the book, and a creative workshop tasking the children to create their own Christmas pet with pencils and paper and create a short story to accompany.
Attendees will also get to have a special look at the new animated film, and the author will sign books.
When: Saturday, 16 November 2024 at 3pm.

3. Holly Lodge Centre Christmas Concert
About: Come and join The Holly Lodge Centre for the highly festive Holly Lodge Centre's annual charity Christmas concert which will include music by local choirs, professional classical musicians and a sale of rustic handcrafted wreaths.
And to top it all attendees are also welcome to partake in a glass of wine and a mince pie or two.
The event will be hosted by the ever-ebullient TV and radio personality, Adrian Mills and will include seasonal readings by actress Jacki Piper in between the musical entertainment.
This will be provided by renditions from three local choirs; The Clarendon School and Sheen Mount School choirs plus the adult Sheen Gate Choir.

4. Christmas at Kew Gardens

5. Winter Rides in Richmond Park
About: This Christmas, experience Richmond Park like never before with a ride around the park in a six-person Park Brake drawn by its majestic Shire Horses.
