Hampton Court Palace and its 60 acres of gardens is now open again to the public.

The reopening after months of coronavirus-enforced closure was announced by the Historic Royal Palaces.

The charity said:

We're pleased to be opening the gates to Hampton Court Palace today for the first time in four months.

You can now wander the cool corridors of Henry VIII's home as well as enjoy the glorious gardens.

There's so much to see and do, it really is a great time to visit.

And with the extra safety measures in place, such as reduced visitor capacity, you'll be able enjoy the palace like never before.

Walk in Henry's footsteps in these magnificent interiors, taking in highlights such as Henry VIII's Kitchens and the Great Hall.

Then relax and enjoy some long-awaited fun in 60 acres of spacious gardens where adventure lies at every turn.

Help Tobias Gibbons, molecatcher to Elizabeth I, find the Tudor escapees in our new family trail and take a Shire horse carriage ride around the East Front gardens.

Your safety is our highest priority so, as you'd expect, we've put in place social distancing measures across the site and created a contactless experience to help keep you safe.

We're asking everyone to pre-book tickets in advance too.

With a range of other activities to come including The Luna Cinema on the East Front Lawns and the reopening of the Magic Garden (which we hope to announce very soon), a glorious summer awaits you at Hampton Court.

Visit the Historic Royal Palaces website to book your tickets.
