We've collated all of the upcoming and ongoing roadworks, closures, and travel news in the Borough of Richmond this week.

TfL Works

  • A316 Manor Circus / Manor Road / Sandycombe Road, Richmond, multi-way temporary traffic signals at the junction with A316 for TFL Highway improvement works until 08/05/2024. 
  • Sandycombe Road, is also closed in a southbound direction from Raleigh Road to the A316, northbound traffic maintained. 
  • Castlegate is also closed at the junction of the A316. Contact: [email protected]

Emergency Works:

  • Friars Lane, Richmond opposite 31 has now been reopened with the installation of a temporary bridge which holds the maximum weight of 44-ton. The works are for Thames Water to repair a collapsed sewer and large void under the carriageway. Estimated completion date 30/04/2024 Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800
  • Rosslyn Avenue is currently closed and White Hart Lane two-way temporary traffic signals for Thames Water to repair a collapsed sewer. Estimated completion date 22/03/2024. Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800

Planned Works:

  • Bridge Way, Twickenham will be closed outside 2 for Thames Water customer connection. Works commencing 11/03/2024 until 15/03/2024. Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800
  • Castelnau, Barnes bus lane closure from the junction with Lonsdale Road to Hammersmith Bridge for Cadent Gas major project works for installation of the new gas main. This is part of the Hammersmith Bridge Gas project. Estimated completion date 31/03/2024. Contact: Cadent Gas 01455 232822
  • Common Road, Barnes will be closed for safe operation of street lighting works, works commencing 11/03/2024 until 12/03/2024. Contact: Street lighting 07854546192
  • Cross Deep, Twickenham multi-way temporary traffic signals outside 76 for Thames Water sewer cleaning works, works commencing 17/03/2024 until 19/03/2024. NIGHT WORKS ONLY Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800
  • Glebe Way, Hanworth is closed at the junction with Staines Road for Richmond Council own works for highway improvement. Estimated completion date 22/03/2024. Contact: FM Conways 01732 600 771
  • Hampton Road, Twickenham will be closed from the junction with Sixth Cross Road/South Road to First Cross Road for Thames Water sewer cleaning works, works commencing 10/03/2024 until 15/03/2024. NIGHT WORKS ONLY Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800
  • High Street, Hampton Hill two-way temporary traffic signals outside 52 for Thames Water Sahara survey for leak detection on 14/03/2024. Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800

  • Kew Road, Kew two-way temporary traffic signals outside 174 for Thames Water customer connection works, works commencing 11/03/2024 until 13/03/2024. Contact: Thames Water 0800 316 9800
  • King Street Richmond will be closed from the junction of George Street for mobile crane operation on 16/03/2024 and 17/03/2024 NIGHT WORKS ONLY - 20:00 until 04:30. Letter drop to Local businesses and residents with advance warning signage to go out 14 days in advance. Local traffic and buses will be on divert during this time.   • Kitson Road, Barnes will be closed at the junction with Melville Road to Junction Church Road for Richmond Council footway works and drainage works to include carriageway surfacing.
