Richmond's Whole Food Store could close as the company proposes changes to its UK operations.

The proposed changes would include closing stores in Richmond and Fulham, as well as the Dartford distribution centre, Whole Foods has confirmed.

A Whole Foods Spokesperson said: "The proposed changes to our U.K. operations will pave the way for our growth here in the U.K.

"They will allow us to invest in enhancing the customer and Team Member experience as we expand our footprint to serve more customers and communities in the U.K.

"We are actively exploring new sites and look forward to opening more stores, including a new location on Chelsea's King's Road, which is expected to open next year."

The new Kings Road store is set to bring approximately 130 jobs to the London market and will be part of a new development at the former King's Walk Shopping Centre.

They are also invested in major renovations currently underway at our High Street Kensington store to better serve our customers. 

The company confirmed that team members whose roles are affected by the proposed changes.

They explained that in the event a decision is made to move forward with these proposals, they will work to minimize the impact to Team Members, including exploring alternate employment opportunities within the company.
